Who Am I?

I am the Events Coordinator and Board Administrator at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta.  I own Tizzy Consulting, an online consulting firm for creative companies, particularly non-profit arts organizations and for-profit artistic ventures.  I completed my MFA in Performing Arts Management at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Why I Think 20UNDER40 is Important:

The 20UNDER40 project tackles a subject that many are afraid to approach right now. There is great fear from current arts leaders that they will be replaced by young upstart know-it-all Gen Yers, and as a result the proper mentorship for the next generation of arts leaders has been quietly left out of the equation. The 20UNDER40 project is starting the conversation about what the arts will look like—and who will be leading us.

What I’ll Do to Promote the Anthology:

• Share links to the publication via my social media networks where I connect with many arts-minded people.
• Send an email to my colleagues in the arts industry promoting the publication.
• Blog about the publication on my consulting firm’s website.
• Discuss the content of the publication with my boss and co-workers, including bringing my copy of the publication to work.
• Sent out an eblast on my alumni listserv for fellow Wake Forest University theatre alumni.
