Who Am I?

With a background and formal education in music performance and arts administration, I’ve worked professionally in the music field for seven years both for New York and Southern California performing arts institutions.

I currently serve as the Director of Education and Community Programs at Pacific Chorale in Orange County, CA.

Why I Think 20UNDER40 is Important:

The 20UNDER40 project will give voice to the generation of arts leaders that haven’t yet been given chance to lead. It is an important wake up call that carries the message that it is up to us to lead a change that we want to see.

20UNDER40′s perspectives will strengthen our work and create a movement of new conversations, networks, and relevance for the field of arts and arts education in these changing times.

What I’ll Do to Promote the Anthology:

Beginning to make some noise already, but here is the plan: The OC currently does not have an Emerging Arts Leaders (EAL) network, lets see if we can start one inspired by the project:

  • Talk up 20under40 and local EAL network to our local arts alliance ArtsOC. Done!
  • Plan a happy hour mixer to gather EALs from the County.
  • Establish social media networks to connect EALs to links and must-reads!
  • Continue EAL meet/greets regarding project topics to spark interest and purchase.
  • Invite/bring Edward Clapp to sunny SoCAL to speak about the project to OC EALs.
